Data Accuracy vs Privacy and Discrimination?

Veracity: Data completeness and Data Accuracy vs Privacy and Discrimination?

Veracity is, in my opinion, best defined as: Devotion to the truth. So Lets examine that within the The Data (Use and Access) Bill .....

“The House of Lords are sending that data bill back to the Commons with a 'sex data accuracy' amendment.  So the Tories are having another go.

Seems the UK is determined to make me, and all other trans people, undergo the insult and humiliation of being described by our birth sex in all records. Once again we're all terrified”

" It seems the opposite of the whole direction of data policy in this country - there's been more security, more control for people over their own data. But if you're trans all that is being thrown out the

window. It's astonishing. That's if this thing passes this time - the government have already voted it down once. But a possible future Reform government? .... all bets are off!”

Comments above are from a trans friend of mine? So what is all about?

Lets talk about. The Data (Use and Access) Bill that has just been trough the House of Lords and returned to the commons (12/05/25) with the following 52B Clause 140, page 173, line 15, leave out “core personal data attributes” and insert “sex data” 52C Clause 140, page 173, line 21, at end insert— “(3) For the purposes of this section, sex data must be collected in accordance with the following category terms and definitions— (a) “sex” meaning male or female only based on “sex at birth”, “natal sex” or “biological sex” (these terms carrying the same meaning and capable of being used interchangeably), and (b) in addition, where it is lawful to do so in accordance with data protection legislation and the Gender Recognition Act 2004, “acquired gender” meaning male or female only, as recorded on a gender recognition certificate issued in accordance with the Gender Recognition Act 2004.”

I would really appreciate comments around Data Ethics and this delicate matter. To my way of thinking Data Ethics is compiled from the following
