Modern Thinking : The Value of Data

"Here's some words and pictures" a colleague said to me handing me a Powerpoint deck on a flash drive......I did laugh. How often have we been told that data is valuable? Data is the New Oil? Here's some strategic thinking in diagrams (as I think that way) showing "The Alignment of Data and Business Values and Business Activities and Processes" We all need to be aware of different data types in our businesses, how we obtain them, their efigacy, and what their value to the business is.. Hopefully these pictures will help Circles around Key areas are where we should focus for value and what elements in the Data Vale Chain help us realise our maximum value and what processes we need to ensure are functioning within the business to make this happen,.

Note that all data should be put through a strong governance ab=nd ethics framework (such as GoPES) before this can happen.
